Lahnstein

Lahnstein is a town on the right-hand side of the Middle Rhine Valley where the river Lahn flows into the Rhine.

The main parts of the town are on the Rhine, Oberlahnstein being south of the river Lahn and Niederlahnstein north of the river. There are also a number of small communities along and above the river Lahn belonging to the town. These include Friedland, Friedrichssegen and Lahnstein auf der Höhe.

Exit the B42 south of Koblenz.

KD (Köln Düsseldorfer Deutsche Rheinschiffahrt AG) boats cruise the Rhine stopping at Oberlahnstein.

There are two equally important train stations in Lahnstein and one more minor one. SE10: Frankfurt - Koblenz serves both major stations
