Lower Assam

Lower Assam (নামনি অসম Nāmoni Osom) or Western Assam is a region west of Assam, India, considered as the extension of the Dooars region of West Bengal. This region includes Kokrajhar, Dhubri, South-Salmara Mankachar, Chirang, Bongaigaon, Goalpara, Baksa, Barpeta, Nalbari, Kamrup, Udalguri, Darrang and Sonitpur districts.
