Madhubani (मधुबनी Madhubanī), in the Mithila region of Bihar, is known for its unique art.

[edit | edit source]The Madhubani style of art is known for its vivid colors and geometric patterns. It was traditionally painted on walls, but since the 1960s has been adapted to paper.

[edit | edit source]Madhubani lies 26 km northeast of Darbhanga. It is about an hour's drive on NH 27.
