Malasiqui is a municipality in Pangasinan.
Understand
[edit | edit source]Malasiqui was named after a Pangasinan term for a place where lightning frequently strikes. Its eastern areas form the Malasiqui Caldera, a massive circular landform with a diameter of 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) that was either formed by a volcanic eruption or a meteor strike. It has an agricultural economy centered on rice, corn, mangoes and vegetables. It is home to about 144,000 people (census, 1 July 2024) 
Get in
[edit | edit source]From Metro Manila, travelers usually take the Rosales exit of the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) and head west towards Malasiqui, passing through Carmen Junction and Villasis. First North Luzon Transit operates buses from San Carlos to Malasiqui every hour.
