Matnog

Matnog is the southernmost municipality of the province of Sorsogon and all of Luzon. It is at the tip of Bicol Peninsula. The town has a port going to Samar Island and vice versa.

In 1785, Matnog became a barrio of Bulusan, with Juan Evangelista serving as its first head. Fifteen years later, it was designated as Puerto Civil. It later became a separate parish on November 21, 1963.

The nearest airport is in Daraga (DRP ^IATA) because the province lacks that infrastructure.

There are many bus terminals in Metro Manila that are bound to Bicol especially to Sorsogon City. From there, you can ride a bus heading to Matnog.

Pedicabs and tricycles are available in downtown.
