The municipality of Matosinhos (muh-too-ZEE-nyoosh, /mɐ.tu.ˈzi.ɲuʃ/) has 175,478 residents (2011) living in four civil parishes (freguesias):
- 1 Custóias, Leça do Balio e Guifões.
- 2 Matosinhos e Leça da Palmeira.
- 3 Perafita, Lavra e Santa Cruz do Bispo.
- 4 São Mamede de Infesta e Senhora da Hora.
