McCaysville

McCaysville is a city in Georgia's Northeast High Country. McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee are known as "twin cities" as the Georgia and Tennessee state lines separate the two cities.

From Highway 515 in Blue Ridge, Georgia head north on Highway 5 for approximately 9 miles to McCaysville. As soon as you cross the state line, you will be in Tennessee. The state line runs through the intersection of Georgia Highway 5 and Tennessee Highway 68.

The twin cities are home to several antique and specialty shops frequented by tourists. The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway makes a stop just before crossing the state line into Tennessee. The train has a layover there prior to returning to its starting point at the depot in Blue Ridge.

The Iron Horse Grille and El Rio Mexican Restaurants are popular eateries on the Tennessee side of the street.
