Nagara is a small town in Hulu Sungai Selatan regency, with Kandangan as the main city.

The highway is paved all the way from Banjarmasin but from Kandangan the road will be getting narrow. In wet season, the road around Nagara can be flooded. If your starting point is Banjarmasin, your best bet to reach Nagara is by renting car with driver. Unfortunately it's not easy to find English speaking driver. The other choice is using tour companies.
