Get around

  • -35.6468150.1421 Nelligen Bridge, Kings Hwy (B52). One of only two bridges crossing the Clyde River further downstream. The original bridge was built in 1964 to replace the old cable ferry and carried vehicular traffic on the Kings Highway for the next 58 years. However, the original bridge was not built to be floodproof during severe flooding, cutting of a major road corridor during severe flood events; as such, a replacement bridge opened in early 2023 – you can now even walk on the bridge and take photos of the picturesque river.
