Ogbia

Ogbia is a town in Bayelsa State, Nigeria, and the headquarters of Ogbia Local Government Area. It is also the traditional headquarters of Ogbia Kingdom. The town lies in the Niger Delta and is surrounded by the rivers, creeks, wetlands and tropical vegetation characteristic of the region.

Ogbia is an important traditional and administrative centre in Bayelsa State. The wider Ogbia area contains numerous communities, including Oloibiri, Otuaka, Elebele, Imiringi and other settlements.

The journey from Yenagoa generally takes less than an hour under favourable road and traffic conditions, but travellers should allow additional time during heavy traffic or bad weather.

Travellers coming from Port Harcourt can travel through the road network towards Bayelsa State and continue through the Yenagoa/Ogbia corridor.
