Palo Cedro

Palo Cedro is a rural community of less than 3,000 people in the Shasta Cascades region of California.

By car is the main means of transportation to Palo Cedro.

You can go through town in any or all of four ways: driving a car, walking, bicycling, or, as this is a very equestrian-friendly town, horseback riding. Driving a car is fast, but you miss most of the scenery. Walking is slow as molasses, but you get a whole lot of scenery. Horseback riding, assuming you have a horse, is a great compromise. If you don't have one, there is bicycling, also a good compromise.

If you came to see farm animals and Old West history, you've come to the right place. However, if you're not interested in that, move right along.

Horseback riding, again, is very big here. A lot of the time, rodeos take place here. If you came to learn about the history, Palo Cedro is good for that. Other than that, there's nothing much.
