Bibhutibhushan Wildlife Sanctuary

Bibhutibhushan Wildlife Sanctuary (বিভূতিভূষণ অভয়ারণ্য Bibhūtibhūṣan Abhaẏāraṇya), also known as the Parmadan Forest, is a popular picnic spot in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. It is considered a beautiful place for spending a fun-filled weekend trip. The beautiful Ichhamati River flows through this 92-hectare sanctuary and is a haven for a healthy population of nearly 250 deer.

Naldugari is the main point to reach the sanctuary. From Naldugari, you can reach the sanctuary either by walking or by a van rickshaw. By van rickshaw, the rate is ₹10.

Go to Bangaon or Ranaghat from Kolkata (Sealdah railway station) by train and then avail of the option of the bus to get to Naldugari.

Drive along State Highway 3 to reach Naldugari via Duttafulia.

₹50 is the entry fee per person for entering this sanctuary.

• Watch the deer. The best time to watch them is when they are fed by the forest officials. Their feeding time is at 4PM and 9AM.
• Apart from strolling in the forest and watching the Langurs fooling around, you can visit the local villages and enjoy a boat ride down Ichhamati River. The Bibhutibhushan Wildlife Sanctuary is also home to numerous birds and trees.
