Pilar (Sorsogon)

Pilar is a municipality in the province of Sorsogon. The town is accessible via Asian Highway 26 coming from Daraga town.

The town got its name in honor of a newborn Spanish princess named Pilar, the daughter of King Philip and Queen Isabela.

The nearest airport is in Daraga (DRP ^IATA).

Head to the van or jeepney terminals in Legazpi City or Daraga (such as near Bañag). Take a UV Express van or jeepney directly bound for Pilar or Pilar Port. Travel time from Legazpi/Daraga to Pilar is around 45 to 60 minutes.

Jeepneys and tricycles are abundant in downtown connecting the town proper to the outlying barangays.
