Qasigiannguit is a fishing town of about 1,200 in Western Greenland.

It is located on the shore of Disko Bay.

You can easily walk around the town. The heliport is located in walking distance from the town centre.

It is possible to ride with sleigh dogs from around December until March.

All year around, a recommended walking trip is to walk east of the town, pass the museum, the heliport, the cemetery, and continue to the lake, which will be completely frozen during the winter.

There is only one hotel in the city, Hotel Disko Bay. It is located in the western part of the town, next to the island Quilik.
