Red Wharf Bay

Red Wharf Bay (Traeth Coch) is a hamlet on the island of Anglesey in North Wales.

The bay has sandy and rocky beach sections.

It is reached by a small lane off the A5025, just south of Benllech.

It is on the Anglesey Coastal Path.

Arriva bus 62^{[dead link]} from Bangor and Amlwch.

• Red Wharf Bay. A scenic bay, with a large expanse of sand when the tide goes out. Good spot for bird watching with waterfowl and wading birds such as oystercatchers, shelduck, purple sandpipers, curlew and dunlin. (updated Feb 2016)
