Rimin Gado

Rimin Gado is a Local Government Area (LGA) and town in Kano State, northern Nigeria. It lies approximately 20 km west of Kano city and is known for its agricultural activity, rural markets, and developing infrastructure.

Rimin Gado has a population of approximately 170,000 on 2022 estimate. The residents in Rimin Gado are predominantly Hausa and Fulani, and their main occupations include farming, livestock rearing, and small-scale trading.

The town is accessible by road from Kano city. Taxis and commercial buses keke napep and minibuses run frequently from various parts of Kano to Rimin Gado.

From Kano city, take the western route through Kofar Ruwa. The journey by road takes about 30–40 minutes It will take you to the town of Rimin Gado. Rimin Gado is on the Kano-Dayi road.

Motorcycles (okada) and tricycles are the main forms of transport within the town. Walking is also common for short distance.

• Local Markets – Visit the traditional open-air markets where local produce and crafts are sold.

Take a walk around nearby villages and interact with locals. Participate in local farming activities during planting or harvest season.
