San Saba is a small town of about 3,000 residents (2020) in the German Hill Country of Texas. It is the birthplace of actor Tommy Lee Jones of Lonesome Dove and No Country For Old Men fame.

[edit | edit source]San Saba is about 100 miles northwest of Austin. To get there by car, drive north on US Highway 183 for about 85 miles to the town of Lometa, then turn west on US Highway 190 for the last 15 miles into San Saba.
