Sapo National Park

Sapo National Park is in Liberia.

Understand

[edit | edit source]

Sapo is Liberia's only national park and covers an area over 1,800 km². It is home to one of West Africa's sole primary rain forests and provides sanctuary for pygmy hippos and elephants. Years of civil war have taken their toll on the park, but slowly it is being teased back to life.
