DeutschSedro-Woolley is a city (formerly two cities that couldn't agree on a combined name) in the Skagit Valley in northwest Washington State. State Route 20 (WA-20) passes through town, from the west towards Burlington and Interstate 5 exit #231, and from the east along the North Cascades Highway towards North Cascades National Park.
State Route 9 (WA-9) passes through town, from the south towards Arlington and from the north towards Sumas and the Canadian border.
By bus

From Mount Vernon Station:
- take the 70x going towards Concrete via Sedro-Woolley.
- take the 205 bus to Skagit Valley College (SVC). From SVC the same bus becomes the 305 which continues towards Sedro-Woolley.

Route 300 (Sedro-Woolley Loop) serves as a local circulator within Sedro-Woolley.

[edit | edit source]Find the old-time logging equipment such as the Mac Yarder “Little Tugger” and the Steam Donkey that depict Sedro-Woolley’s history.

Information desk, sales area with books, maps, videos, and other items.

[edit | edit source]- 1 Lake Whatcom Railway (From the intersection of Highways 9 and 20, travel north on Highway 9 for 10 miles and turn right at NP Rd), ☏ +1 360-441-0719. Ride on train cars that are over 100 years old pulled by a steam engine.
Events
[edit | edit source]- Loggerodeo. 4th of July weekend. Hosts a chainsaw carving contest. The city buys several sculptures each year and displays them around town. They now have more than 25 carvings to see.
