- There is a lighthouse on Ross Island that was commissioned in 1973. It sits on the slope of Bopung Hill at an altitude of 40 metres (130 feet).
- Smith Island is home to the Olive Ridley turtles. If you are there at the right time, you can see the turtles nesting.
