South East Nigeria (Igboland) is a region of Nigeria. It is composed of the following states: Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo.

South East has hot and warm seasons. The wet season is warm and the hot season partly cloudy.

Agriculture and industry

In the South East of Nigeria, there are lot of common crops, including yams, cocoyams, cassava, maize, melon, vegetables and palm oil and kernels. Indigenous crafts are also produced in the region.

Although most people in the southeast speak English, it is best to learn a few words and phrases in Igbo, the dominant language here.

South East Nigeria has a well-developed road system that makes travel easy by car. Vehicles can be hired at any one of the cities.
