Srostki

Srostki (Сростки) is a village in Altai Krai.

This is a birthplace of well-known Russian writer, actor and film-director Vasily Shukshin.

The village is situated on the Chuysky Highway.

Go to the House of selectioner R. Sharov up on the hill overlooking the river. There is a nice fruit orchard with grape vines.

Visit annual literature and film festival dedicated to Shukshin and his art on his birthday 25 July. It's a venue for Russian writers, musicians, theater-goers and actors. There is a museum in his home.
