Sweet Grass (also Sweetgrass) is a town on the Montana side of the Sweetgrass–Coutts Border Crossing, which connects it with Coutts, Alberta. It is the busiest port of entry in both the state of Montana and the province of Alberta. Only 65 people lived there in 2020.

[edit | edit source]Sweet Grass is where Interstate 15 meets Alberta Highway 4. Interstate 15 is an important route connecting western Canada, the western United States, and Mexico.
The border crossing is open 24/7.
By bus

By plane
[edit | edit source]- 1 Coutts/Ross International Airport (FAA LID: 7S8). Airport is available for general aviation, no scheduled commercial flights and a turf runway, located along the US-Canada border. Owned by the State of Montana, it is a port of entry into Canada with no more than 15 passengers.
