[edit]Hi, everyone. I've never been to Houston, so I don't know how great or otherwise the restaurants listed are. Does VOICE deserve its own listing separate from Hotel Icon? Oxheart has gotten some nice praise locally (for example and, if you trust it, 4 stars and some nice comments on Yelp), though the entry had said it was also praised nationally, and I edited that out, pending citations in national publications. Is Irma's an institution? I think it's entirely proper to speak highly of great restaurants; I just wonder whether all three of these restaurants are worth this much praise, and my guess is that the odd one out is VOICE, the hotel restaurant, but I sure don't know. - I'm a former long-time Houston resident (now recently moved to LA), and am the one who made the Oxheart edit. I didn't add the entry for Irma's, but it is generally considered an institution. I think the write-up could be much improved, though (I plan to eventually go over all the Houston pages).
- VOICE no longer exists (technically it is has been totally revamped into a new concept called "Line & Lariat", I believe). It's probably safe to get rid of this entry for now if y'all want.
- RE:Oxheart... I wasn't aware that citations were required in Wikitravel/voyage? Well, here are some anyway:
- Texas Monthly (not sure if they are "national" enough)
- The New York Times "One regular is Justin Yu of Oxheart ..., which is already earning national praise for its artful tasting menus"
- Food & Wine
- GQ
- Bon Appetit
- Hope that helps. 76.89.142.124 22:46, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
- Citations are not required in articles, but claims of nationwide fame can use this kind of backup. Thanks a lot. Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:14, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. John (talk) 00:52, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
