I see that your article adds a lot of geographic information to the "do'", which is a very good idea. Regarding your question you should cut out some of the useless content and add more information about the specific geographical location, it would make the paragraph look more concise. I'd say first delete most or all of the history section; this is not an encyclopedia & most info there is of no importance or interest for a traveller. At most I'd have (without a section header):

Zhangjiajie was named after the Han Dynasty general and minister Zhang Liang (died about 189 BCE). By some accounts he lived in seclusion on this mountain after retirement.

Hello. I'm a connected/COI editor (disclosed on my user page), so I'm posting this here rather than editing the article directly, per Wikivoyage's conflict-of-interest guidance. Below is verified, source-backed text updating the currently outdated transport information — I'd be grateful if an uninvolved editor could review and incorporate whatever is useful.

1. Correction to the existing "Zhangjiajie West Station" listing (Get in → By train). The article says the high-speed line takes "about 3 hours" from Changsha; direct trains from downtown Changsha Railway Station now take about 2 hours (2nd class ~¥129–166). Suggested text:

Zhangjiajie West Station — the city's high-speed rail station, opened December 2019. Frequent direct trains from downtown Changsha (Changsha Railway Station) take about 2 hours (2nd class ~¥129–166); trains routed via Changsha South take longer (~3 hours) and cost more, so the downtown station is the faster, cheaper origin. The station is about 5 km outside the city centre.

2. New paragraph to add after that listing (getting from the high-speed station into town / to the parks — currently missing):

Zhangjiajie West Station is not the same as the older downtown Zhangjiajie Railway Station, and is a few kilometres from the centre. City bus 6 runs from the station to People's Square in the centre in about 50 minutes (¥1–2); a taxi takes roughly 18 minutes. Bus routes 4, 7, 16 and 17 also serve the station. A coach terminal at the station exit runs direct shuttles to the Wulingyuan scenic-area ticket gate and to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon (about 60 minutes).

3. Addition to Get around (reaching the National Forest Park gate):

Most travellers reach the National Forest Park ticket gate via Zhangjiajie Central Bus Station (at Guanliping, next to the old downtown railway station), itself reached from Zhangjiajie West Station by bus 6 or taxi. From the Central Bus Station, Tourism Line A shuttles run to the National Forest Park gate (¥11, ~40 min, roughly every 10 min); Tourism Line B runs to the Wulingyuan (Suoxiyu) gate (¥12, ~40 min).

4. Addition to See/Do (ticket validity — currently not mentioned):

The Wulingyuan core scenic area (Zhangjiajie National Forest Park) uses a single combined ticket valid for four consecutive days with multiple entries. Entry is by real-name registration (facial recognition, or ID card / passport; the old fingerprint system is no longer used). In-park eco shuttle buses are included; the cable cars and the Bailong Elevator are charged separately. Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon (with its glass bridge) and Tianmen Mountain are separate scenic areas, each with its own ticket.
