  • 3 Covelong and Muttukadu two coastal towns south of Chennai
  • 4 Kalpakkam home to the famous Indira Gandhi Atomic Power Plant, a nuclear breeder reactor, plus a Dutch-era fort and an unspoilt beach
  • 5 Kanchipuram temple, one of the seven holy cities in the country. Renowned for Kanchipuram silk sarees
  • 6 Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram) UNESCO Heritage Site. Ancient temples and carves, outstanding examples of Dravidian art and architecture
  • 7 Pulicat (Pazhaverkadu) former Dutch colony. Colonial legacy. Lagoon and mangroves
  • 8 Sriperumbudur
  • 9 Tiruttani
  • 10 Tiruvallur famous for the temple of Sri Veeraraghava Swami and the 40-foot-tall Sri Viswaroopa Panchamukha Anjaneyaswami
