[edit | edit source]- 1 Abukuma-do Caves (あぶくま洞). A set of interconnected limestone caves. The popular, family-friendly tourist attraction remains relatively unknown to non-Japanese, despite being the largest in the Tohoku region.
- Irimizu Cave (入水洞 Irimizudō), Tamura. Another cave, 6km away from Abukumado Cave. This undeveloped cave is for the hard-core adventurer. Its 3 interconnected courses follow a 10°C stream as its snakes its way through darkness. The water height is rarely higher than your ankles and not swift. Water drips from the ceiling so raincoats may be a good idea. A hard hat with light is highly recommended.
- 2 Hoshi no Mura Observatory in Takine.
- Mushi-Mushi Land in Tokiwa (ムシムシランド). A rhinoceros beetle theme park.
- 3 Takizakura in Miharu. An Ancient Sakura (cherry tree)
