Timonium has a long history of horse racing, but now the track is used primarily during the annual Maryland State Fair.

Timonium can be reached by taking exits 16 (Timonium Road) or 17 (Padonia Road) off Interstate 83, or exit 26 (York Road north) off Interstate 695.

Public transportation

Timonium is served by the Baltimore Light Rail system. There are stops at Timonium Business Park and Timonium Fairgrounds (simply identified as "Timonium"). The latter has free parking.
