Hello! I am Yongjaerim, a student and a Wikimedia contributor from Guangzhou, China.

Growing up in Guangzhou, I am particularly familiar with Guangdong and interested in the region's cities, towns, local culture, food, history, and places of interest.

I am especially interested in destinations beyond the best-known tourist cities. Guangdong has many smaller cities, towns, and counties with their own local character, but information about some of these places can be limited in English-language travel guides.

My main goal on Wikivoyage is to help improve travel information about Guangdong.

I would like to make information about lesser-covered destinations more useful and accessible to English-speaking travelers, especially for people who want to explore places beyond the major tourist destinations.

My interests include:

• Cities and towns in Guangdong
• Local attractions and landmarks
• Local food and cuisine
• Transportation and practical travel information
• Local culture and traditions
• Lesser-known destinations

Guangdong is a diverse region with large metropolitan areas, historic towns, coastal destinations, rural areas, and many different local cultures and cuisines.

As someone from Guangzhou, I hope to use my familiarity with the region to help improve Wikivoyage's coverage of places that may receive less attention in English-language travel resources.

I hope to contribute accurate, useful, and practical information for travelers.

My editing goals include:

• improving the coverage of smaller destinations;
• making travel information clearer and easier to use;
• adding useful information about attractions, food, transportation, and local culture; and
• helping international travelers discover more of Guangdong.

I am also interested in contributing to other Wikimedia projects and learning more about collaborative editing, reliable sources, and how volunteers build useful free knowledge.
