Welcome, what is and is not an article, etc.
[edit]
Hello 72.78.143.236! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.
If you are a Wikipedian, then you may notice some differences in policies and the style of our articles. These include:
- NPOV → be fair (not quite the same thing!)
- be bold → plunge forward
- Village pump → travellers' pub
- External links → We do not use a separate external links section, but incorporate primary links only into the text itself.
- sandbox → graffiti wall
- stub tagging → article status
It may also be very useful for you to check out Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians. If you need help, take a look at Wikivoyage:Help, or else post a message in the Wikivoyage:Travellers' pub, as a reply below or on my talk page. Thanks for contributing!
Also, please read Wikivoyage:What is an article and have a look at Wikivoyage:Breadcrumb navigation. We don't have articles about every county in every state, and a stub article about Sullivan County, Pennsylvania that has no "IsPartOf" showing what part of the state it's in and says merely "Sullivan County, Pennsylvania Is it home to 2 beautiful Pennsylvania State Parks, Ricketts Glen state park and Worlds End State Park" is not very useful. if you would look at Pennsylvania#Regions, click on the relevant region article and find the articles for the towns closest to these state parks, then create listings for them, that would be information a reader/traveler could use!
Thanks and all the best,

- And please stop creating stub articles. You are looking like a long-time vandal, so if you continue, we'll have to block you, and then all your edits are likely to be annulled. Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:57, 1 May 2025 (UTC)
- I will delete all the stubs you created now. If you create more, you will be blocked as a vandal. Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:00, 1 May 2025 (UTC)
