Copvio

[edit]

Hello, 82.3.96.145! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikivoyage:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

By the way, have you considered creating an account here? While you can absolutely keep contributing as an anonymous user, it promises a bunch of benefits, and no obligations.

Please read the copyleft link. I reverted your edits to England and France because you copied content from other websites, which is discouraged in the case of copying from Wikitravel (due to a history of litigation between Wikimedia and Internet Brands, the owners of Wikitravel; see Wikivoyage and Wikitravel for details), and disallowed when it comes to copyrighted websites, because reusing their content is theft.

New content on Wikivoyage has to be original, and you are actively encouraged to write creatively and in your own words.

We also don't use picture galleries in Wikivoyage; please see the image policy.

Please let me know if you have any questions.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 18:48, 4 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

This position hasn't changed at all. Copyright violation is not now, and never will be, acceptable on Wikivoyage.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 09:08, 18 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Next time you add a copyvio, you'll be blocked for a period of 3 days. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 09:11, 18 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
