Varela

Varela is a beach village in Guinea-Bissau. It is a little paradise, with a superb Italian-owned hotel, beautiful beaches, pine forests and a relaxed atmosphere with almost no other tourists.

Get in

[edit | edit source]

There is public transport from São Domingos, but if you're a group of 4-6 persons, it will be more comfortable to rent a seven-seat Peugeot with a driver for some days. The trip São Domingos-Varela is some 50 km on a very bad road with many potholes. The trip will take at least two hours.
