Yeongnam

Yeongnam (영남 / 嶺南) is in the south eastern part of South Korea.

Understand

[edit | edit source]

Yeongnam means literally "south of the passes". It refers to the historical Gyeongsang province that is now divided into North and South, as well as the separate city areas of Busan, Daegu and Ulsan. Although not an official entity any longer, this region may still often be referred to by Koreans today.
