Understand

[edit]

Yingkiong is the administrative center of an area inhabited by the Adi and Memba peoples. It is a small town, and although lacking in any memorable attractions, it is often used as a departure point for travelers heading into the almost mythical land of Pemako, which straddles the border between Nyingchi prefecture in Tibet and Arunachal.
