Dharmanagar (ধর্মনগর) is the second most populous city in Tripura.

[edit | edit source]Close to the Bangladeshi border, before the partition of India the town of Dharmanagar had strong ties to what is now the Sylhet Division.
Get in
[edit | edit source]- 1 Dharmanagar railway station, New Bazar, Padmapur. The main entry point into the city apart from the roads. The facilities and amenities at the station are not great and there is limited shelter.

[edit | edit source]- 1 Rowa Wildlife Sanctuary (Adjacent to the national highway). A small sanctuary reflecting the natural vegetation of the region. You will be able to spot several species of birds and primates.
- 2 Unakoti (ঊনকোটি Ūnakoṭi). Historic site containing large and mysterious yet fascinating rock-cut and stone sculptures of Hindu deity Shiva.
