Marinhas is a town in Portugal's Minho region on the Portuguese Coastal Way trail of the Camino de Santiago.

[edit | edit source]The nearest airport is in Porto. From the airport take the metro, change in Verdes and go to Povoa de Varzim. From there take a bus to Marinhas.
Other airports around are in Vigo, Lisbon and Santiago de Compostela.
Get around
[edit | edit source]The town can be easily explored on foot.
If you want to go to the beach of Apúlia from Marinhas, take care to take the right bus line. Some buses only go along the country road 2 km away from the beach.
Also, e-hailers Uber and Bolt cover the town and the surrounding region.

[edit | edit source]There are two ATMs at the Estátua do Padre Manuel Martins de Sá Pereira in Esposende. Locals may know about otner locations.
The biggest supermarkets are Minipreço and Aldi.
The nearest minimarket for the municipal albergue is Talho O Galinho Lda. It's a butcher shop that also offers groceries.

[edit | edit source]In addition to hotels there are some private hostels that tourists and pilgrims can use. The Albergue de Peregrinos de Marinhas is only for pilgrims.
