Sechin is 5km SE of Casma, a city on the Panamerican Highway in Peru's Northern Coast.

[edit | edit source]There are frequent buses along the Panamerican Highway. Colectivos are usually large old American cars, which when full go from Casma by Las Tortugas Beach Cove & on to Chimbote.

[edit | edit source]Colectivos & motor-cycle taxis can be hired to take you to the Sechin site & museum.

[edit | edit source]Cerro Sechin archaeological site & Museo Max Uhle are 5km SE of Casma. Hundreds of Monoliths depict victorious warriors & their mutilated enemies at a site that dates from 1600BC, & lies below Cerro Sechin, which gives a commanding view over the Casma Valley.
