Rainbow Region reference
[edit source]From the government Aboriginal Housing Office - "Lismore is known as the “Rainbow Region” – a name which reflects the magical richness and extraordinary cultural diversity of the region, as well as its strong sense of community and its penchant for natural living. A strong centre for all things “organic” coupled with a diverse community residing together, make Lismore a very special and culturally great place to live."
This is likely the source of the phrase in the Byron Bay article (a 40 minute drive away). Andrewssi2 (talk) 23:17, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
Move to Lismore?
[edit source]I'm tempted to believe that this Lismore is significantly more prominent than both the British and Irish Lismore. Both of those settlements have around or fewer than 1k inhabitants, and neither make nearly as many media appearances as the New South Wales town does. Objections to a move? //shb (t | c | m) 10:12, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
