Tayug is a mostly nondescript town in the plains of eastern Pangasinan with a history permeated by the occasional peasant revolt. Apart from the church, there aren’t much major landmarks.

Tayug is along the Nueva Vizcaya-Pangasinan Road. It is also the terminus of roads leading to San Quintin in the southeast and Natividad to the east. Tayug is directly connected to Metro Manila by bus and to Urdaneta via minibus.
