I’m not affiliated with any company—I simply think these are great places in my city. Thanks for the advice as well.

I’m also working on an Arabic version of Wikivoyage, and that will be my main focus moving forward (rather than Wikipedia).

In April, Wikivoyage introduced the Travel Tracker (also known as "My Travel Map") in the user menu at top right. It has recently come to our attention that the initial version of the tool did not make clear that maps created through it are public and are associated with your account. Users who used the tool and published a map may have their map deleted by emailing a request for oversight. We apologize for this matter.

Hi Almajidy,

May I request a change to your home page. I noticed that you had a considerable amount of text in Arabic on your home page. I do not read Arabic, but I was able to cut and paste most of the text into Google Translate and I recognised it as probably being a quote from the Koran. However I could not translate the heading which is an image written in a much larger font. Out f courtesy to your fellow editors, will you please replace the image with large text. The way to do this is to write

<span style="font-size:500%">ووَصَّيْنَا الْإِنْسانَ بِو</span>.

This gives

ووَصَّيْنَا الْإِنْسانَ بِو

This will enable other readers who do not read Arabic to see what you are writing.

Thanks for letting me know that the large image is just calligraphed Arabic. I will provide a translation for the Quranic text below, as it contains classical words that are uncommon nowadays and difficult to translate automatically. Almajidy ^𓇼 07:44, 5 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
