Default address info

[edit source]

Thanks so much for adding content to the Dover article, which had been neglected. I made some followup edits. Note that on this site, we don't include default parameters in addresses, since we know that unless otherwise stated, everything listed in the Dover guide is in Dover, DE, and the addresses are conceived of as helping readers find places, rather than for snail-mailing. I also removed a bit of touting that I noticed at a glance; I figure that had probably been there a long time before you started editing the article.

Thanks again,

Thanks for telling me that. I noticed other articles didn't have the city in the address and I guess Dover wasn't following the standard. Dough4872 04:41, 17 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
You bet. I sometimes wonder if this is something worth spending any time on, but it does seem unnecessary to remind people that everything is in the city they're reading about. On a somewhat similar basis, when I see "x is a Dover hotel/restaurant/store/what have you", I delete that phrase, but in that case, I suspect touting by keyword. Temporary account IP viewer

[edit source]

Hello, Dough4872.

A recent change now means that all IP addresses are no longer visible to most ordinary users. However, as per WMF policy, any user who has made at least 300 edits with an account older than 6 months may request the temporary account IP viewer (TAIV) permission to view IP addresses of all temporary accounts for up to 90 days. You are receiving this mass message because your account is autopatrolled, or has patroller and/or template editor permissions, and have over 300 edits, and thus are likely eligible to request this permission.

Guidelines surrounding the use of the tool can be found at Wikivoyage:Temporary account IP viewer; if granted, you must also accept the WMF policy in your preferences.

TAIV permissions can be requested at Wikivoyage:Temporary account IP viewer/Requests, or on any admin's talk page.
