Hello, Gemerdy! Thank you for contributing to Wikivoyage, but please note that one or more of your recent edits has been reverted as it appeared to be an attempt to use this site to advertise or promote a business or service. Wikivoyage is created by travellers for travellers, and while business owners and employees are welcome to contribute, use of this site for promotional purposes is not allowed.

If you feel that your edits were incorrectly identified as promotional, please read Wikivoyage's guidelines on identifying promotional edits. If, after reading that guideline, you still feel your edits were incorrectly removed, please use this talk page or the talk page of the article where your edit was removed to explain why your change was not promotional. Note that it is very important that you discuss your proposed change before re-adding it since repeated promotional edits can lead to a temporary block of your account's ability to edit Wikivoyage, and in serious cases the business in question may be blacklisted from Wikivoyage.

Also, more relevantly, read what not to link to. This site is not a link farm for your site. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:23, 26 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

hello Ikan Kekek how are you I see that in the place you have in the Dominican Republic the data you have is not entirely correct, I am Dominican and I am passionate about informing about the places of interest in my country, I would like to help update your data, my website has little information about puerto plata but little by little I am updating new places and you will follow province by province if you like the idea it is a reciprocal help https://travelerd.net/ Gemerdy (talk) 03:56, 26 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
We gladly accept updates and improvements from anyone who wants to volunteer to give them; that's where almost all of the information on this site comes from. However, Wikivoyage policy, developed in discussions a long time ago, to my understanding, does not permit collaborations with competitors. That said, if you'd like to make a proposal, please post at Wikivoyage:Travellers' pub and engage in a discussion with other users to explore possibilities, keeping in mind that Wikivoyage is under the overall umbrella of the Wikimedia Foundation, so any collaboration would have to be acceptable under the terms of the foundation as well as a consensus of Wikivoyage members. But first things first: make the proposal and see whether a consensus can develop. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:15, 26 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
I don't foresee us accepting links to your site, let alone multiple links in any page as you did here. But right now, that violates what not to link to and don't tout, so don't do it again or it will be necessary to block your editing privileges for an initial period of 3 days. Sorry, that's site policy. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:21, 26 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Also note that copyright law & licenses matter. Ours is Wikivoyage:Copyleft; see also Wikivoyage:Full text of the Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 license. What I find on the site you link to is "All rights reserved". To know the complete & exact implications, you'd need a lawyer. However, some seem obvious:
Nothing from your site can be used here unless the copyright holder (you?) grants an irrevocable Copyleft license for that material.
Basically everything here (except some photos which have other licenses) can be used on your site provided the usage complies with our license. You must attribute the source & you cannot claim copyright on it.
Between that & the fact that we have a policy against linking to other guides, review sites, etc. I do not think co-operation of the type you suggest will work. Pashley (talk) 06:57, 26 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
A summary of our license can be found on the Creative Commons — Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported — CC BY-SA 3.0 Creative Commons website. As for attribution when moving content from this site to another site, "You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use. If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original." Hopefully that clarifies the issue. However, from the search engine optimization (SEO) perspective, copying hurts a website's search engine ranking and is discouraged within Wikimedia. Of course, as long as it's legal you can do whatever you want with WV content but it would likely hurt your website's search engine ranking. --Comment by Selfie City (talk) (contributions) 15:12, 26 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
You're again trying to link your site, and do so seemingly as many times as possible. Do we have to block you to get you to stop trying to pull a fast one on us? I hope not. Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:01, 7 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
