I wish to ask about my edit in [1].

1. What does "Wikivoyage should celebrate travel" mean? To celebrate travel like in "celebrating Christmas"? To say that travel is important? I checked on [2] (Merriam-Webster) and could not find the suitable explanation, and I considered that this sentence is strange, therefore I deleted it.
2. "Please focus on travel guide content, rather than policy pages." Can you explain? Is that forbidden for new users to edit a policy page?
3. "...can and should be summed up as an 'Orwellian nightmare'", I suggest to change it into "...should be portrayed/described" because I thought that sum up is better to replace to a single word and sum up is a bit unclear here.

It's not forbidden for new users to engage with policy pages, but it's questionable for them to unilaterally edit them without having had more experience in the style of this site. And while I have you, "descriptions" of hotels on this site are just that, not statements of what's "near" a hotel, unless, for example, the main train station (not generic shops or restaurants) is directly across the street or literally down the block. Always happy to answer questions, though I think Ikan Kekek has explained #2 very well. Additionally, you can always suggest changes on a talk page, but it's just quite unusual for a new user to be interested in policy pages. And to be honest, some of your additions weren't very well written (e.g. "That's not a good thing to write too casually for topics like death or ethics for being respect and suitable.")

But to your other two points:

1. I'd read "celebrating travel" as promoting travel and stating how great it is; with reference to the dictionary link, definition 2 covers it.

3. One advantage of saying "portrayed/described as..." over 'sum up' is that it avoids using a phrasal verb, which can be difficult for non-native speakers to understand. So yeah, I can appreciate your point there and will change it to "described as".

In April, Wikivoyage introduced the Travel Tracker (also known as "My Travel Map") in the user menu at top right. It has recently come to our attention that the initial version of the tool did not make clear that maps created through it are public and are associated with your account. Users who used the tool and published a map may have their map deleted by emailing a request for oversight. We apologize for this matter.
