[edit source]In April, Wikivoyage introduced the Travel Tracker (also known as "My Travel Map") in the user menu at top right. It has recently come to our attention that the initial version of the tool did not make clear that maps created through it are public and are associated with your account. Users who used the tool and published a map may have their map deleted by emailing a request for oversight. We apologize for this matter.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.
If you are a Wikipedian, then you may notice some differences in policies and the style of our articles. These include:
- NPOV → be fair (not quite the same thing!)
- be bold → plunge forward

- External links → We do not use a separate external links section, but incorporate primary links only into the text itself.
- sandbox → graffiti wall
- content assessment → article status

Thanks for your edits so far. Here are two specifics for you to consider. The less important one is that default address info (the name of the city, if it's the same as the article title, state, zip code) is not included in addresses in Wikivoyage listings.
The important one is:
Did you mean to say in this edit summary that that shopping mall was demolished 10 years ago? If so, the correct update to the listing is to delete it, unless the empty hulk is somehow a notable sight, and then it should be moved to the "See" section. Updates are great, but we don't want useless listings of defunct businesses on this site. Thanks again!
