Riola Sardo is a town in Oristano province. Agritourism is a very important economic activity in the town, which is just a few kilometers from the most beautiful beaches of the Sinis Peninsula. Its territory is rich in birdlife, especially aquatic species. In addition to the Cabras and Riola Sardo ponds, the area includes several perennial marshes and part of the Sale Porcus salt pan, home to the greater flamingo.

- 2 Sancta Corona de Rivora church. Ruins of the church dating back to the 12th century.
- 3 Parco dei Suoni (Located inside a disused quarry). The park is made up of a series of sound-guided paths, almost all open-air, between quarries and adjacent areas, paths and environments that resemble sound sculptures, each linked to a different musical context.

[edit | edit source]- 1 International motocross competitions (At the municipal motocross track). In February. The races are held with the participation of internationally renowned drivers and teams.
- Cultural and musical events are helds in summer at the Parco dei Suoni.
- Saint Anne (Sant'Anna). 26th July.
- International Vernaccia Motorcycle Rally. Second week of September. The motorcycle rally attracts motorcyclists from Italy and Europe.
- Sapori Antichi (in the town historic centre). In November. Visitors are encouraged to sample the old flavors of traditional local cuisine.
- Saint Martin (San Martino). 11th November.
