Welcome! And some pointers.
[edit]
Hello BrunoBosque! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.
If you are a Wikipedian, then you may notice some differences in policies and the style of our articles. These include:
- NPOV → be fair (not quite the same thing!)
- be bold → plunge forward
- Village pump → travellers' pub
- External links → We do not use a separate external links section, but incorporate primary links only into the text itself.
- sandbox → graffiti wall
- stub tagging → article status
It may also be very useful for you to check out Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians. If you need help, take a look at Wikivoyage:Help, or else post a message in the Wikivoyage:Travellers' pub, as a reply below or on my talk page. Thanks for contributing!
Thanks so much for adding interesting content to this site! It is editors like you, who have first-hand knowledge, who are indispensable in making this a useful, up-to-date travel guide!
I did a fair amount of work on the Aguacate Mountains article just now (which I renamed per Talk:Aguacate Mountains#Name, which you had not noticed, but no worries, as no-one else did, either). Please look at the article's history, and you can also see all of my edits by comparison with what was there before. After you have had a chance to look at what I changed and why, I'd love to hear from you on whether you have any questions. Meanwhile, please carry on!
All the best,
No "References" or "External links" sections on this site
[edit]This was mentioned briefly in the welcome message above, but please read Wikivoyage:External links. Thanks! Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:32, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
