Hello, Robinmetral! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals. Pashley (talk) 11:45, 28 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hello and indeed welcome! A couple of details: As part of this site's house style, Google can't be linked per what not to link to and "museum" is capitalized when it is part of the name of a museum. These are hardly the most important things in the world, but please take a note of them since they've come up a couple of times in your edits.

All the best,

Hi @Ikan Kekek, thanks for the feedback. About capitalizing "museum", I'm not sure the museum even has an official English-language name. Google Maps refers to it as a "mansion", but it can be visited. A house museum (lowercased)? About the Google Maps link: I've only replaced an existing (inaccurate) link with another. I'm aware of the policy but couldn't find a better alternative: OpenStreetMap is also a map service hence not any better. The museum is hardly well-known and only mentioning it by name would make it very difficult to users to find. What do you suggest? Thanks again! Robinmetral (talk) 12:42, 2 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
I suggest creating a marker (see Template:Marker) for the museum and using Wikivoyage:Geocoding, which you can take from Google Maps and format in Wikivoyage style, as locations are not copyrightable. Let us know if you have any questions; I'm actually not experienced in using markers, but that's what seems most useful in this situation. Thanks! Ikan Kekek (talk) 12:56, 2 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. This is too much overhead for quick, on-the-road editing, I was merely fixing outdated information (unfortunately a big problem on this wiki). I'm happy to remove the Google Maps link though, but this will make the article less useful to travelers. Robinmetral (talk) 13:03, 2 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
I understand that the problem was in the article before you got to it. Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:31, 3 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
