DeutschMerge with Imphal?
[edit source]This appears to be a suburb of Imphal, per the article lede. Is there any reason why this shouldn't be merged with Imphal then? The Imphal article is nowhere near long enough to warrant needing separate districts, and it's probably easier for readers if everything was consolidated into one article. //shb (t | c | m) 07:58, 10 May 2026 (UTC)

- @SHB2000, Ground Zero: If this were merged to Imphal, I guess Kangla and Porompat (and maybe others listed in Imphal Valley) should be merged into it as well, as Imphal isn't a huge city with too many potential listings, unlike say Kolkata. Sbb1413 (he) (talk • contribs) 15:10, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
- @Sbb1413 FYI, Imphal Valley is much larger than Imphal. It's a bigger geographical entity. Imphal valley is named after the Imphal River (because it has its riverine system across the plains), and not from the Imphal city. :-) Haoreima (talk) 17:36, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

- @Sbb1413@SHB2000 Given the current scenario of the sizes of the articles (Imphal and Lamphelpat), I don't oppose the merging as of now, but with a condition that when enough information are added to each (which is likely to be done by me very soon), it can be removed from the redirect and made into separate articles, like those of London and South London here in this platform (I am not saying Imphal is as large as London, but I mean these can become standalone separate pages when enough notable information are added to the pages like those of South London).
