BTW, as you're from the Philippines you maybe interested in the fact that we will be featuring Tagalog phrasebook on the Main Page as Featured Travel Topic in a little less than a month. I'm right now adding some pictures from Commons to make it a bit more colorful (something one can do without understanding the language). Based on a short look, I think some phrases are too deep/steep and may be not be used in normal conversation. Hi, and thanks very much for thoroughly revamping and greatly increasing Wikivoyage's coverage of the Philippines!

I wanted to bring to your attention the fact that the contents of "directions" tabs produce a parenthetical phrase. As a result, they should not be treated as sentences with initial capitalization and periods at the end.

Hi, and thanks again for your great work on articles from the Philippines!

Did you know that some of them could probably be promoted to usable status, as I just did with Batac. The minimum requirements for usable are: 1. at least one way in, 2. at least one listing to see or do, 3. one listing in eat and 4. one listing in sleep. The see/do, eat and sleep listings should also have coordinates, addresses and preferably a description. This applies for cities and city districts; regions and other types of articles have slightly different requirements, you can dig deeper into this here: Wikivoyage:Article status.

Then when an article has pretty much everything the average visitor would need to know, it can be promoted further to guide status, and at that point it can be nominated to be featured on the Main Page. Ypsilon (talk) 18:50, 16 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

I usually leave the promotions to other editors for the sake of independent evaluation. For now I am focused on expanding articles in terms of bite size with credible information as much as possible so I might not be paying attention to the boxes at the very bottom, but thanks for this reminder. I just hope our government here can be more forthcoming in providing tourism and transport-related information to the public here to help promote these destinations I'm handling.
