Given that there is no border control between Madha and the UAE, and that there's no way to actually enter this exclave from any other part of Oman, from the traveller's point of view, Madha is, for all intents and purposes, a UAE destination. This is an interesting case. Have we ever breadcrumbed an exclave a different country? If we are going to create a precedent, we should be very careful, and be sure that we want to do this. @Ground Zero: tbh I think Madha is a bit of a unique situation in the sense that it has no border controls surrounding it. I'm not really aware of any such exclaves (outside Schengen), other than Međurečje (Rudo) in BiH but administratively managed by Serbia (which lacks a Wikivoyage article). //shb (t | c | m) 12:15, 31 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
